Ancestral Pueblo: Greater Mogollon | Jornada Mogollon | Northern Jornada (Sierra Blanca) | Salinas Plain Ware |
First posted by C. Dean Wilson
Salinas Plain Ware as described here denotes distinct early unpainted but polished and slipped pottery produced by Salinas groups primarily during the early Spanish Colonial period. Techniques and forms associated with Salinas Plain Ware reflect Spanish influences, and foreshadow developments to soon spread to Pueblo groups in different provinces.
