Pottery assigned to Pine Flat Gray Ware includes the typical dark gray ware commonly described as Apache Plain. Only a single type is presently described for this ware although more types could be potentially created to distinguish plain forms from those exhibiting tooled surface as noted on the Strawberry variety of Apache Plain. Such variability is presently included in discussions relating to Apache Plain.
